If I try to install Ubuntu on desktop computer it hangs just after installing and I enter password just at the point where it would flick over to dashboard.
If I install Ubuntu with my on board graphics card, it acts like there is one inch chopped off the top of the screen and three inches of off both sides.I know the graphics card is ok because it works fine on Windows XP.
Is there a known problem with this graphics card not being compatible with Ubuntu 12.04?
I have tried 32bit and 64bit but same problem.
Is there another Ubuntu version what is a bit more graphics card friendly?
So my spec is
HIS Iceq 4670HD 1GB graphics card
ECS GS7610 motherboard
250GB SATA harddrive
2GB ram
