[ubuntu] keyboard error : XKB is not enable

i did install ( chroot ) ubuntu 10.10 on android tablet ( ARM7 cpu ) but i can not configure keyboard :confused:
system -> keyboard not open and accessories keyboard gives error :
"error : XKB is Not Enable "
how can i enable XKB ?
