Hi All,
I have read throug the previous posts for related issues, but haven't been able to resolve the issue. In my case, the Ubuntu Server 12.04 is running as a VM on a ESX host. It has been working fine up until yesterday, when this problem occured. I tried restarting the VM and got the error.
Since then, I have been able to boot the VM using a LiveCD in i Recovery Mode. I learned about the bootinfoscript in another post and have extracted the RESULTS.txt from the VM.
I used /dev/hostname/root as root file system when I initiated recovery mode and was able to access the filesystem.
Any help or ideas greatly appreciated!
Fredrik
