Changing permissions

Hi everyone. I have Mythbuntu 12.04 and it is working quite well. I made a partition on my Windows disk and formatted ext4. The problem is I want mythtv to write to it for recordings. When I try to change the permissions of the partition i receive an error as follows:

salliemae@salliemae:~$ sudo chown -R salliemae:salliemae /media/RECORDINGS2
[sudo] password for salliemae:
chown: cannot access `/media/RECORDINGS2': No such file or directory
salliemae@salliemae:~$

Can someone please assist me with this problem? Any assistance will be appreciated. sister5091
