I'm running a Dell Optiplex 745 with a x64 processor. I have Windows 7 x64 installed.
I have tried making the partitions with both windows tools and gparte and still the problem persists.
I don't have secure boot available on my BIOS.
For some reason the installation wizard doesn't seem to even register that there is a drive as I'm not given any options for installation.
No "Install next to..." or anything. Just a blank "Installation type" screen that gives me no partition options and if I click on the "+", "-", or "Change..." options I get an error that reads:
Sorry, Ubuntu 13.10 has experienced and internal error.
If you notice further problems, try restarting the computer.
If I open the details it states that "ubiquity crashed with TypeError in partman_dialog(): argument of type 'NoneType' is not iterable"
I would really like to be able to be able to install Ubuntu so any help working past this glitch will be much appreciated.
Thanks for your help
