XUbuntu 12.04 LTS 64 bit install fails due to grub install error

hi,

My machine had xubuntu 12.04 LTS 32 bit with windows 7 64 bit in dual boot.

My BIOS is UEFI based but the UEFI is disabled.

I tried to update by linux to 64 bit xubuntu 12.04 LTS. However Grub install failed. I had tried to fix problem using boot repair in recommended settings.

The boot-repair seemed to work properly but on the reboot it did not show grub options screen instead i got grub console.
