Hi, I have installed Ubuntu 12.10 in my machine(Intel corei7). I tried installing 'libc6-dev-amd64' package. But I got the following error.

$ sudo apt-get install libc6-dev-amd64

[sudo] password for suman003:

Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
libc6-dev-amd64:i386 : Depends: libc6-amd64:i386 (= 2.15-0ubuntu10.4) but it is not going to be installed
Recommends: gcc-multilib:i386 but it is not going to be installed
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.

Please suggest a solution for this.

Thank you.
