I have not used a terminal since woody/sarge era. My laptop was stolen so it was time to install on a new machine (Asus Q550). I got through the secure boot fun only to get stopped at "Screens found, but none have a usable configuration." It has a nVidia 745m but is using "vesa". I have made sure it has the nVidia drivers. I have been looking around the web and forums for 10 hours - everything is 100% different hardware or I cant find the config file it is talking about. I also get the warning of font dir's do not exist - also made sure they are installed.
