Hey i'm a linux n00b, Just attempting to perform an install via the live CD install and I'm getting the attached error, after clicking on the [next] for the step where you specify whether or not you want to automatically download updates from the web [yes] and include proprietary drivers [yes]. I'm figuring it's faulty/unsupported hardware, is it possible to work out which piece of hardware is failing based upon the crash dump?
Thanks in advance

After writing this post i saw this one: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2169067 I remembered that I have installed ubuntu previously on the same PC prior to installing a new video card, the old one being an old nvidia chipset the new one is a radeon 6450. could it be that the installer can't detect some AMD video cards?
Thanks in advance
