I have a 10 yr old PC (1G RAM, 160G HD) that used to have XP on it.
Over the years it became very slow (15 min to boot and sometimes I had to try several times) that I decided to give it a new life and installed Ubuntu (the latest, V13) on it.
Unfortunately it seems as slow as XP, I can see the windows changing colour as they appear.
It may be a video card problem but why is the whole of Ubuntu so slow = XP?
Any idea anyone?
