Latest Adobe Flash/Amazon Ad update causing problems

Hello and good day.

The update today had something to do with Adobe Flash.
I should have paid more attention.
Anyway now my computer has slowed down considerably
due to "Waiting for Amazon-Ad"
I checked on line...Amazon has launched some new information collection system that they seem very proud of.

Is there some way to get my old flash back again?
Or can I block Amazon somehow?
