Installing 13.04 on an Adata SP900 drive

AMD Athlon(tm) II X2 250 Processor
Nvidia mcp61 controllers
Adata SP900 64 gig (new)

I have tried to install Ubuntu 13.04 64 on this equipment with an installer crash about half way through the installation
Then I downloaded 13.04, 32 bit with approx. the same outcome, installer crash.

I tried each a couple of times

Then I downloaded LinuxMint with about the same results

Then 12.04, same

Last step was to install PClinuxOS, no problems, good installation.

I want to use Ubuntu. Does anyone have any ideas?
