Hi I bought a HP X360 Beats audio hybrid on the cheap e.g. amazon.co.uk/HP-Pavilion-X360-11-N000SA-G2C01EA/dp/B00JADUDGY with a bust HD. To try and save money I thought I'd try to install new HD. I am an amateur and have never done this before, so could do with some advice.
I connected new HD to the obvious cable under the hood of the laptop and pressed 'on'
I got Ubuntu onto a memory stick and plugged in
I enabled virtualization technology (read you had to do that to install Ubuntu)
I pressed Esc > F9 > Boot options > there were no options at all on the Boot menu
I read it might be to do with the order the BIOS loads the Boot options?? no idea.
I went to Boot options and tried to reorder without success
I enabled Legacy as i read that might help, but still wasn't able to reorder boot options
I pressed Esc > F9 > Boot options > there were no options at all on the Boot menu
Next I will try Startup > F10 > Enter and try to see if ports are enabled... but it still seems like there should've been some options on the Boot options menu, so if any one has any ideas, I'm all ears!
thanks in advance
