[ubuntu] Upgrade freezes on Configuring GCC

Hi Folks,

I have an intel imac, and have been successfully dual booting 12.04 and then updgraded to 12.10.. For the past few days I have upgraded to 13.04, and for the second time it has frozen on 'Configuring GCC'.

I have included a screenshot as attachment.

Can anyone help, please?
