I am a beginner so please explain in plain english. I am trying to install ubuntu 12.10 from a bootable usb. I already have windows 7 installed on my hard drive. The partitioning is as the pic above. When i click install it gives the following error :

The partition /dev/sda5 assigned to / starts at an offset of 2048 bytes from the minimum alignment for this disk, which may lead to very poor performance.

i have read over the forums about this error but i dont understand what they are trying to say. One of them said to try the following command : sudo fdisk -lu

the result are as follows :
Code:

Disk /dev/sda: 500.1 GB, 500107862016 bytes
255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 60801 cylinders, total 976773168 sectors
Units = sectors of 1 * 512 = 512 bytes
Sector size (logical/physical): 512 bytes / 4096 bytes
I/O size (minimum/optimal): 4096 bytes / 4096 bytes
Disk identifier: 0x54c21b8a
