[ubuntu] ubuntu reinstalling on macbook pro linux partition

hi,
i managed to corrupt my filesystem, and the only slution i reached is to reinstall ubuntu 12.10.
i have apple macbook pro with dual boot, i would like to keep my data (home folder) and reinstall the system on the partition without deleting everything and reformating the partition.
is this possible?
